Our Policy

International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Trading Advancement (IJMRTA)

At the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Trading Advancement (IJMRTA), we are committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of the published research. We recognize that errors may occasionally occur in published articles, and we have established a structured correction policy to address such issues effectively.

1. Types of Corrections
a. Erratum (Publisher's Error)

An erratum is issued when a significant mistake is introduced during the publication process by the journal (e.g., typographical errors, incorrect figures, author name spelling mistakes, or formatting issues).

  • The correction will be published as a separate notice in the journal.
  • The original article will remain unchanged, but a link to the erratum will be added.
b. Corrigendum (Author’s Error)

A corrigendum is issued when an error is identified by the author(s) after publication (e.g., incorrect data, misinterpretation, or author affiliations).

  • Authors must submit a request for a corrigendum with justification and supporting evidence.
  • If the correction is approved, a corrigendum will be published, and the original article will be updated accordingly.
c. Retraction

A retraction is issued when a published article is found to have serious ethical violations, plagiarism, data fabrication, or misconduct that significantly affects its credibility.

  • The retraction notice will clearly state the reasons for the withdrawal.
  • The original article will be marked as "Retracted", and a retraction notice will be published in the journal.
  • The article will remain accessible for transparency, but a watermark stating "Retracted" will be applied.
d. Addendum (Additional Information)

An addendum is published when authors or the editorial board determine that additional information is necessary to clarify or supplement the original article.

  • Addendums are only allowed when they do not alter the main conclusions of the research.
  • The addendum will be linked to the original article.
2. Correction Request Process

If an author, reader, or editor identifies an error in a published article, the following steps must be taken:

  1. Submit a formal correction request via email to [Your Journal’s Email] with the following details:
    • Article title, DOI, and publication date.
    • A clear description of the error.
    • The proposed correction.
    • Justification for the correction.
  2. The Editorial Board will review the request and determine the type of correction required.
  3. If the correction is approved:
    • A formal notice will be published in the journal.
    • If applicable, the original article will be updated with a correction note.
  4. Authors will be notified of the decision within [e.g., 2-4 weeks].
3. Ethical Considerations
  • Corrections will be handled transparently and in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
  • Corrections will only be made if they do not alter the fundamental results or conclusions of the research.
  • Any attempt to manipulate or request unnecessary corrections will be reviewed for potential ethical violations.
